Depicted in the figure below, the KSFG3X36-1 fiber optic gyro is a three-axis gyro with low precision, offering advantages like a compact form factor, lightweight build, absence of moving parts, high reliability, and extended lifespan. Its digital output is easily integrated into systems, enabling its use in aviation, aerospace, maritime, defense, coal mine measurements, automotive electronics, and diverse fields.

The fiber optic gyroscope principle, rooted in optical principles, serves as the foundation for inertial navigation instruments. Optical fiber characteristics are harnessed to measure rotational angular speed, facilitating accurate determination of directions such as heading, pitch, and roll. The rotation of the optical loop induces changes in the optical path, and by detecting the resulting phase difference or interference fringe changes, the rotation angular speed of the optical path is measured.
